Try something outside the normal routine. I recently joined an angmo bar crawl and it was nice to see things differently. Also when we have more than a few , we would choose a bar each and go regardless if we have bad experience there previously.
I spend 2 days in Bangkok recently and found it refreshing change from Pattaya but cannot tahan the traffic and dust so retreated back to Pattaya.
Spanky , Nana middle beer bars and Madarin was the surprise this time. For pattaya the surprises were Misty , Hooty's and Alcatraz
