Custom

Afer more than 6 mth did not visit this place.It has change alot.Upon arriving at the arrival hall,
I have to thumb print & take photo as a foreigner .
The layout of the counter has also change . Only see one officer to attend to foreigner
& 2 officer for Indon citizen. Because of this we have to wait for at least 20 min to clear the custom.

Bro XM was lucky .He was not ask to thumbprint & take photo. Abit confuse on this part , i though 1st timer
have to do so. Another lucky thing is , he was not call into the office for bringing laptop.
So i think now things has changed.

Hotel

After clearing Custom we walk frm Jetty to Gabion. The weather was cooling after the rain.
Along the way saw some new building near the jetty . Saw a few new well renovated shop.
Check into Gabion stand room for 140k .
Warning: Dont take Rm410 the aircon has problem the room was not cold so change to another rm.

1st time staying Gabion

The Good
1)Competitive room rate (140k for std , 180k for medium rm)
2)Good breadfast (though less variety, the food is delicious)
3)Rm is spacious than Maxi
4)Accetable cleaniless.
4)Transport provided (to Jetty , villa)
5)Good customer service from the receptionist
6)Have a big balcony to see sunset & scenery.

The bad
1)Noisy (Echo from the corridor )
2)poor maintenance staff dont even bother to exchange a tv controller for me.Lucky bro XM is
willing to exchange with me.
3)External & internal building abit rundown.

With the price increase at Maxi .Gabion is a good alternative for budget cheongster like me.
It is quite value for money.If need entertainment just walk over to Maxi which is just a stone throw away.
