Though your explanation is more likely to confuse than to educate... Haha... TS, ever heard of 豆沙包? The bun itself is bland... but the 豆沙 filling is sweet... So when you reach the portion of the filling, you start to taste sweetness... That's why it is referring to 尝到甜头...

refers to getting something good for his bribe... Am I not correct?
