The Philippines Embassy is next door to hell, damn beaurocrats, and if they can find a way to make your life complicated, THEY WILL, trust me .. !!!!

Like I hear one guy, who was going Holiday in Philippines, the guy was asked "what will you do there", the innocent fellow reply "holiday and look for some business opportunity", the reply - "then you must apply business visa. Please obtain invite letter from your business counterpart, bank statement, what business you want to do .. "

The stupid cow don't realise "looking for business opportunity" is no same as "going for business"

Damn hell, even in Manila, I have been asked occasionally, for proof of hotel booking .. and whether it is confirmed .. an ang moh, with 50$ in the pocket will be kissed and welcome .. whereas non-ang moh's are like untouchables .. And more than once, when I insert my GF address in the address in Philippines Coloumn, I was asked "what is your relationship" .. I didn't say GF, as, I was told, if you say GF, then they will call you possible human trafficker ..

I think the Embassy has very few people applying visa, considering SEA and Europe are visa on arrival, and they make it their job to make the applicants life miserable .. or they are bored, they want to find out which guy earning how much, so they can gossip to their relatives and compare what a filipino earns ..

And also, there is a lot of attempt to get you to confirm into 'recommended' hotels - possibly those connected with embassy staff .. and your refusal only makes them look harder at any possible 'breach of application .. '

And they are scratching their arsse wondering why not many people want to visit Philippines ..
