The manageress said the following MUST be produced for opening of bank accounts by foreigners since May 2011 as required by the banking authorities. (photocopies to be submitted to them after verification).

a) ACR-1 card (Alien Certificate Registration Identity Card);
b) Passport;
c) Photo Identification;
d) 2 x photographs;
e) Personal particulars and details info;
f) Application form; and
g) Cash deposit.

And this is only for the saver's account with no interest payable.
More documents are required if you want a checking account or accounts with interest payable.
