Talking of kids, A true story happened to me ..
a friend was accosted in Manila, Malate, and the Police man wanted to inspect the camera, and I was hearing some thing like "you come here to film and photo children ?? " we knew where the conversation was going, and my friend, who despite my begging him not to flaunt his camera bag, carries his bag around, and bluntly likes to video locals / kids in uniform .. ..
To our great luck, he had actually formatted his memory card, and my filipino friend demanded to see the Policemans' warrant to inspect .. the policeman let us go ..
If the policeman had persisted, I understood from my filipino friend (my lady escort - who 'carries' sometimes .. ) that the cops could have demanded money, failing which they could have turned the story towards peadophile .. and the 'compromise' cost would have gone into millions ..
As I mentioned elsewhere, this is a country where drug buyers, caught in scams, were branded as 'suppliers' and God have mercy on the soul of the poor victims.
Be safe .. and play safe .. there are lot of nicer things to do ..
PS: And also it is one of the reasons I limit my time in AC, and stick to extremely far off places .. like .. Tugegarao, Zambales, PG, Iliilo, CDO ..
