Re: Angeles City (Balibago) Tips

As I'm reading back on some of the post, Just to let all you newbies know about trying to take the local jeepney from Clark airport to Fields.

As suggested by Ziebart and others, your best and safest (and cheapest) option is to take the aircon shuttle right outside the airport for 50p. Might have to wait alittle as it won't leave until its almost full.

Yes, the cheapest option is the local jeepney just outside the airport gates but beware that it is a LONG ASS WALK from the terminal to the perimeter gates. And if you arrive at night, forget about it as the walk will be both LONG & DARK. Also, local jeepneys don't run too often at night so could be a long ass wait (and only if you know WHERE to wait). This method should only be attempted by regular seniors that are familiar with how to do this.
Note that the airport area is fairly secure but its alot of hassle to save a few pesos and also the possiblilty of getting lost in the dark.
Note: during the daytime is no better as it's a long ass walk in the PI heat (and rain). Best attempted with little luggage.

Also note: sometimes the local jeepney driver will charge you a little more than the 10p as your luggage (no matter how small) takes up space for others, so about 15-20p instead is expected. It's still cheap and I almost never argue with that. Except the one time they try to charge me double the cost and there were only one other passenger on the jeep. I said my luggage is not in anyones way and he smiles and accepted the right fare.

Hope this info was helpful for anyone willing to try this.
