I think the whole idea here is that they do not live within their means. They always want expensive bikes, expensive mobile phones, no need to work and drink coffee all day. Actually everyone around the world wants to have all these, but is it possible? So when they have the chance to `chop' someone or by all means get the little cash to achieve some of these desires, they quickly get it. After spending the money, they become broke again and have to think of ways to get the cash for daily living . Its a vicious cycle.
