Link to the article on the guy's death in Angeles City. Whether they were out to kill him or rob him is not clear yet. But he was a resident so even after the bars of that area closed, he could be walking back home from a bar in another area e.g. Fields.

Bro, the news article never report he was a resident. I read that they wrote he was a tourist. Anyway that is old news.

What I know of this case is that Paul Atkins (the deceased) was staying at room 114 of the America hotel. He has a filipina girlfriend that works as a bargal and she was the one who identified and claimed his body. The police official classification on this case is "Robbery by 2 unknown males on a motorcycle".

Their Statement of Facts reads as... "The victim was on his way back to the hotel when he was shot at point blank range by riders-in-tandem in front of the said establishment located along Don Juico Avenue, Clarkview Subdivision, in Barangay Malabanias early morning on Tuesday (Oct 18).

The suspects took the wallet of the victim, giving investigators hard time to identify the foreigner. Police investigators are still facing blank wall as to the identity of the suspects as no witnesses have come forward to volunteer information regarding the case."

With this report they closed the case.

This report by the police is rubbish! There were eye witnesses who gave a very different scenario to the facts stated by the police.
