小鬼； I also concur with you and Bro May_Day that NTY is not a bad place to chill. Firstly, the competition is not so fast and furious like you would see in YH. When in the flower street, the ratio is usually (Minimum) 1 : 10 Men/Women ratio. When I was there with May_Day last Tuesday, we hit the flower street at 7PM and the ration was 1 : 100. There were only 2 of us and I estimate there were about 200 meimei to chose from.

2ndly, for budget cheongster, when we were there, each of us among the 4 paid only RMB300.00 for a total of 3 + 3 (free) dozens beer including 1 DJ tips. Last Tuesday, May_Day and I took the smallest room, minimum spending for this room is RMB288.00 Nowadays in CP, you really can't get any cheaper than NTY.

Lastly, for those whom had had a great time in NTY when NTY was at her heydays, you might feel dejavu and a bit nostagic when you party there again. Of couse, as the saying goes, early bird catches the worm. No need to be super kiasu and go there earlier than their opening time, just be there on time should be good enough to find good pickings.
