Sigh.....
I think one of the things most of all probably forget is the fact that prostitution in China is still very much illegal; having been lulled into a sort of blissfull euphoria with how paid sex in China had of recent history been so wide open/in your face.
Ebb and flow - and hopefully recent activities is only a temporary measure by the authorities to give notice to operators to NOT overstep the boundaries of propriety.
