Thanks to all bros in this thread for their tips and sharing of their encounters.
Been waiting to chat up with the pinoy ladies as I find them rather attractive.
Finally picked up my courage and here's my story...
Was invited to a friend's function cum buffet dinner one Sat evening. As usual, went alone and got bored after dinner. Decided to walk around the condo development and this syt caught my eye. She wasn't stunning but the looks kinda grows on you. Petite, fair and quite cute looking. She was with her employer's kid who was running around. Made eye contact and smiled. On the pretext of asking directions to the gym, I started to make small talk.
Me: Hi. Where are you from?
Her: I'm from the Phillipines.
Me: Kamasta!
Her: Giggle...
Me: You stay around here? How long have you been working in S'pore?
Her: I've been here for 1 yr 6 mths.
Me: Do you like it here?
Her: Yes. My employers are very nice.
Me: That's great. Care to meet up for coffee when you are free? (Passed her my namecard)
Her: Shocked..Ohh..Thank you.
Me: Call me...
And I quickly moved away as I notice the kid approaching.
Fast forward...Waited for 2 weeks...No news and ego took a beating. lol
Finally, received a text from her.
Her: Remember me? You passed me your card at XXXX
Me: Yes, of coz! Glad to hear from you!
Her: I'm off this coming Sunday, I don't have friends in S'pore. Do you want to meet?
Me: Of coz! We can go for a walk and lunch together.
Her: Ok. Can't wait to see you.
For the next few days, the texting became more intense. lol
I thought I hit the jackpot. But who knows...Due to other commitments, had to cancel the meeting. Argh!! Tried calling her after not receiving any replies from texting. The number is no longer available. lol
So moral of the story: They are indeed very friendly and warm people who wouldn't mind making new friends. So go ahead, smile and approach them. But if they request to meet, please do so and not let the chance slip away.
Hoping to get another chance with someone else soon.
Just sharing my humble experience...Thanks for reading.
