Thats what so attractive about Pattaya to me! Although I never go into the water , I like that beach/sea scene where you feel its a holiday. Bangkok has to much concrete and smoke for me!
Bangkok is easy for travellers as many go there for work but you are right , if Singaporeans just be less kiasu , a 2hr ride away from the capital can be done easily. But I dont mind la, less people , more fun for me!
To answer your question , never say never but I dont think there is anywhere or any stretch of bars in the world that can rival Pattaya. Many will argue how good bangkok is but most have not visited Pattaya! I have heard of cheap places full of working women in Mexico but the flight there alone would be a week's budget in Pattaya.
Same same for me , when I first discovered Phuket , I thought it cant get better! Then I found Bangkok Nana and though THIS cant get any better. Then I discovered Pattaya and never looked back! Even if the flights go into Don Maung , I will still bypass Bangkok and head straight to Pattaya unless I have stuff to settled in Bangkok.
