And a favourite amongst the lawmen to extort money from ignorant foreigners.

I have seen many unsuspecting tourists who happily purchase pocket knifes, balisongs and cute blades for souvenirs only to be stopped by the police who obviously have been waiting outside these shops for these tourists.
