bro ... going to the gal hometown and visit her parents is committing HARA KIRI ...
let me relate a story of this rich young man who used to cheong DG frequently ...
he get to know a ktv gal in DG and he fell in love with her ... he claim she's a very nice gal and take good care of him ... he would go to visit her once every mth and each time lasting abt 7-10 days ..
after a few mths, he went to the gal hometown together ... not sure who is the one who initial it ...
the gal introduce him to her parents and family as well as the whole village ...
the first few days was happy as he get to meet a lot of ppl and the gal introduce him as her bf and or future husband ..
things started to go wrong when the parents suggested they need to renovate the house ... the guy (let's call him B) agreed .. thinking it's a minor renovation and shldn't cost too much ...
when the renovation quotation came, he was in a shock ... it's abt 200,000rmb ...
B then has a quarrel with his gal in his hotel room over the renovation costs (he couldn't stay in the gal's parent house becos it's in the countryside and he's not used to it) ...
things become worse and B decide to call off the relationship with the gal ...
she was crying and make some phone calls .. he couldn't understand a word becoz it was in their native language ...
B was packing his stuff in his hotel room when the gal's brothers and friends came to look for him ... they threatened him saying he has ruined the gal life becoz now the whole village know B is going to married her but now he decided to break off ... how is she going to get married again in the future ...
according to B, there was a lot of argument and even to the point he almost got beaten inside the hotel room ... they then demanded a remuneration package of 500,000rmb for the gal becoz she can no longer stay in the village ...
sensing he is trapped now, he decided to play along with them ...
he gave them all his money he had on him ... rmb and US$ ... and told them he will go to the bank and withdraw the rest tomorrow ..
they didn't buy it and started arguing again until the hotel security guards have to chase the brothers and thugs out of the hotel ...
but they did take the rmb and US$ with them and said they will be back tomorrow to collect the rest ...
B was horrified and frightened ... he called one of his friend and relate the story .. his friend told him to check out of his hotel immediately and fly back home ASAP ...
but he was afraid the thugs will be waiting for him outside the hotel ... it's a risk he had to take ... he was fortunate becoz the hotel has a basement carpark and he was able to get into the hotel car from the basement to the airport with the help from the hotel staff ...

so .. the morale of the story ...
Don't commit HARA KIRI by visiting the gal's family ...
u never know what u gotta get ...

Just like the issue of over paying the MMs, gals in OY always laugh at the mongers for going to OY when for the same things that we can get in other KTVs, we are paying at least 30% more, and this is comparing to YH.
