well, for weekend ? head to Peurto Galera, as it is just near Manila .. unless you want to take a flight to Kalibo and spend the hour plus plus to Boracay, or fly to Caticlan direct for a higher fee .. (if you can grab cheaper flights, good on you .. otherwise .. no comments .. )
If you gonna be in Makati for 12 days, man, that's a lot of time .. I hope you are keeping yourself busy .. and learn to stretch your dollar

Actually, in NAIA T1, they force everybody to remove the belts also .. and all bags must go through the X Ray before you go to Check in .. but I wonder if they are able to interprete properly what appears in the X Ray machine .. or rather, that rule applies to the mere mortals like us .. (yes, I saw a well dressed Pinay Tai Tai, who weaved and waved her way through the X-ray, not even putting her hand bag into the X Ray .. and even decided to jump the queue in the Business Class line .. and it was all over in less than 10 minutes - she was on her way to Immigration having immensely helped by the counter staff and all around - maybe they knew her, or most likely got pinoy style - got intimidated by her and let her have her way ..
And no, she didn't have to open her bags, and even at the waiting lounge she breezed her way through like a princess .. not even stopping for the security check before the gate
And if you notice, if you are taking laptops, you got to place them seperately into the scanner, in Changi and KUL, not in NAIA though ..
