Re: Vietnam - HCM (Thread 3)

Vietnam per capital income : US$1,700 (yearly) or 31 million vnd
Singapore per capital income : US$55,000 (yearly)

When I was in Vietnam cafe; I saw the gals there eating some local tip-bits. I tried it and it is some sort of kuay noodle season with vinegar and it cost 3000 vnd (S$0.18)

I bought fired prawn cracker near my hotel for 4000 vnd and bought an egg for 5000 vnd. Thing in vietnam are cheap if you can live like a local. But from what I read a lot of bros cheong in Tourist area and paid prices similar to SG price.

I believe one can survive base on my calculation 5 times the per capital income of Vietnamese people and live there comfortably. S$11,000/year should be enough to live "more comfortably" than the local.Of course if you want a long term girlfriend you may need another 50m vnd to 80m vnd.

Like I say; H88 have shown me the local type of living which I will have no chance of seeing if I when with a tour group or if I go alone.

Sincerely speaking; Vietnam now become an option for me depend on my financial health few years later.

I wish to say to H88.

Cám ơn.
