Yeah that's why it seems ridiculous to me.
For AC to have operated for so long, one would assume also that the bar owners on Fields Avenue are also 'connected', and even more so, than a foreign NGO.
Therefore if an organization like the IJM tries to 'exert' their influence on matters domestic to the Philippines, shouldnt they hit a wall because the 'cartel' that runs Fields Avenue has already 'taken care' of the Authorities?
Unless of course... the issue is made a matter of diplomacy right to the top.
