I think only get charged if the official complain coming from someone close family like relative or village head.
But the risk is the law can be too broad which will lead to different interpretations especially local police might raid hotels and extorts from us foreigners.
Sex industry will probably continue.. but to lower our risk, I think better get from trustable source or contact. Been a long while since I go Batam anyway.
