The call for will power is why most people fail.
Often times better to focus on the positive outcomes that will result and use that as motivation.
Why do smokers fail in quitting so often?
Because they believe it is a matter of will, and the suffering it entails.
And the human mind is very poor at enduring suffering. The first sign of it and the wanna be quitter is at the minimart buying a fresh pack.
