There are many many ancient methods in 'fortune telling'. Most methods are based on mathematics ( ie probability and statistics, who know what is mat lab?). All these like Bazi Reading, 4 pillar, feng shui, ziwei numbering are called metaphysics science. They are not classified under any religion as well. No need any praying or chanting, no burning of incense papers/sticks/ etc. It Is just pure statistics which was based on past occurrences that were accumulated by a lot of masters, practitioners, astrologers, researchers, etc from way many many thousand years back until today when we learn the methods about "Fortune Telling" is so fast and easy.
In fact in this century and onwards, fortune telling is a serious business.
Fortune Telling is similar to those HR profiling tests; those in the HR trade should know. if not, please check with your HR manager or Staffing Director, you can ask them what is MBTI, DISC tests, etc. Those candidates applying for jobs and while going thru the interviewing process, they will need to answer a set of questions and from the results, they determine whether you are an introvert or extrovert, etc (your personality, traits, etc)

In fact the above song is quite true - in Chinese Astrology or metaphysics science, there are 3 interactive factors that equally govern a person’s destiny – Heaven (33.33%), Earth (33.33%) and Man (33.33%). While we can’t change what we are born with (Heaven’s luck-karma driven), we can still choose where and how to live (by fine tuning our Earth’s luck/Feng Shui) and what action to take (Man’s own attitude).
