If you bother to learn some Viet, then you will have a great time. If not, it will be difficult as you really can't communicate

Those who can speak English or Mandarin are usually already hardened veterans with stints in Singapore or China but for some reason has been repatriated back home.

Vietnam also has a fairly active drug scene,so you may unwittingly find yourself in a KTV specializing in drug parties. The drug parties are easy money for the girls, but with long term consequences

Well experience vastly difference...

If you enjoy chatting with viets in tieng viet then you can gain alot of culture and life expereinces...

If you only can chat in English and Mandarin with viets then you can feel they will not waste much time with you unless you pay for everything...include food drinks and tips...

Is not rocket science to understand Viets...

IMO best avoid...you do not want to get caught in drug parties...Police will have a field day asking for money to release you in dirty filthy cells...
