life is a roller coaster

Past 2 years was a roller coaster for me. From rich to rag and vice versa but regardless or whatever it is.
I am just a salary man. Now that things has come to such a state, i went abroad with a china friend to his home town.
I realised life over there is so much simpler and decided to quit my job to start a business here.

I am just here to rant.

Fingers cross hope i can do well in the business.

Anyway in certain parts of china, life is simpler and easier as well...Went to Lijiang recently and know of a lady who quit her job in Singapore and stayed there for more than 12 years...A lot of people from china are really warm, friendly and down to earth...Not all of them are as bad as what media potrays ...

thank you bro. totally agree on that. Sinapore life is too tense for me. Moreover, the profit margin and capital input ratio is so much better.

Same here past 2 years was a roller coaster to me but but i only went through a quarter cycle from normal to poor, currently at the bottom. Also plan to migrate to prc next year. Which province r u planning to stay in China? House in beijing n shanghai is extremely expensive

TS you are not alone . Many are facing difficulties in Sillypore right now . Sadly majority can't do like what you can do . Do please however do be careful while you are overseas . Many wolves / foxes lurking around ready to pounce .

most probably xiamen as i have some local and singapore friends there.
Beijing and shanghai are more expensive after all they are the first tier city and also because of its progress.

If you are seriously not so financially sound, i think you should stay in singapore. I go to Xiamen as i think
the money i have in Singapore can never grow in Singapore or rather it cant grow as fast as in China.

reason i go there is my gf stays at chongqing. cost of living in chongqing is relatively low if compared to other city in china

if you are not well to do and your gf used to be in the night scene. ideally not go there, u may suffer more since you are at a place you are not familiar with.
I have cq friends too. Girls are quite ok but long run i beg to differ.

thx for the advice. I have nothing to lose now. she didnt ask anything material from me, say no need to take care of her, i take care myself can alredi. got hand got leg got degree sure wont go hungry one. but I will still try hard.

been there once and this month i may visit her parent at hometown. wish me luck lol

Hi, sorry to interrupt....your conversation with greatdane88. Pls don't said that you have nothing to lose. Whatever decision we made today will always have a effect on our future....pls remember time is a factor that we can never win.

Just sharing. I stay in china for 6 years (Wuxi area) and travel all around CHINA helping to set up distribution network. Chongqing is a nice place but very humid and wet. I think you shouldn't make up your mind so fast on your business venture. Just take it as a break, go over to Chongqing and stay for a few months and see whether you can get use to the lifestyle. Weather, Healthcare, Food, Transportation.

I am 44, just take it as an advice....This is your life and not her. Friends, Partners and GFs.....come and goes. Not sure about your family status. I come back to SG because of my aging mother...and I wasn't around when my father past away. I was in Jinan then. You will always have something to lose and will always need to sacrifice.
