tipping systems

does anyone out there knows the tipping system for waiter,waiteress or captain in local nightclubs.Pls advise.

tipping the service crews really depends, you can pass them 10 or 20 buxs and for mamasan or papasan, if you have ammo, give them wat u give the gals lo(i.e maybe 30 buxs?, this is just my opinion as mostly we go chionging is to happy so never really bothered abt the service crews n i seldom spend a cent on them.

it is not compulsory. However, usually will give 10

The most i pay is 10 buck,unless we have a huge gathering and he managed to serve everyone well,then i might in another 20 buck.

one reason to be "generous" to them is that in some places (ie lower and mid level KTVs) I have had them come out with lower bills in a few cases when they recognised me and I treated them well before. The lower bills were where they had min jugs for the room (and told us that upfront) but then charged me less if one was tea or if we were under the min. Normally I also tip around $10, sometimes a bit more, in such places, so I'm not talking about being really generous, just consistent that they know you'll take care of them. from wat i know is last time there used to be 2 types of tipping system.
1 is the tip is given directly to the waiter serving & the other is if u settle the bill by cash the small change will be pooled together then be divided among the waiters.

Does anyone know any nightclubs out there still use the systems i mentioned?

I always give directly to the waiters/waitresses, mostly $10 unless service really good. I also give to Mamasans too.

the mamasan at pegasus wnt min $50 tips. gal that butterfly ard , $10-20

Tipping for Mamasan is standard for me if I cheong joint that have mamasan and the minimum is $10 per head and also depend on your relationship with her and her service. Usually is $50 for me. Tipping of waiter up to individual $5 to $10 for me.

i heard from 1 of my friend who previously worked in 1 of the high end niteclubs at havelock rd. their pay is not even 1K before cpf deduction how miserable is that. But the $ people spend there is much higher that other nightclubs. Even a waiter's pay working at places like K box is higher than those working at havelock rd.
