Condom size by data or trial and error

Hey bros, I know this topic has been talked about many times but none really technical.

I would like to ask if all of you bros out there will buy condoms to trial and error until you find the right fit? Or would you really count on the measurement technical data found on the outside of the box to see if it would fit you.
