What a brainless substitution by the brainless manager....shd hv taken out the useless Hojlund n put in Obi martin n ok to bring in Garnacho but not take out young energetic yoro defender for old n rusty one Lindelflop....hard to win lidat ...mark me he will bring in obi martin in the last few minutes of the match

With all due respect to the Portuguese, the Primeira Liga is nowhere near the level and depth of the EPL. So just because the 3-4-3 system might be successful in the Primeira Liga does not necessarily mean it can be successfully transplanted to the EPL, particularly overnight.

Can't blame him.

But I see a shining light in Chido Obi. This time RA sub him in for the useless Hojlund much earlier. FYI, Hojlund had gone 18 matches drawing a blank.

Obi showed good touches and move forward into scoring positions.
Nearly nick it for the pussies.
Since this season hard to salvage already, RA should seriously consider putting Obi upfront. Also because Hojlund is pretty useless nowadays.

Zirkzee also played well in the closing stages, linking up and holding up.

RA throw in Garnacho early 2nd half, but I find he is still very selfish.
He just took long shots disregard other players (calling for the ball) who are in a better position.

chido obi is only 17, dun think RA will start him yet, he did impress last night, too bad he couldn't find the net. come next season, chido obi will compete with hojlund for a starting spot if man u dun sign a SC

zirkzee is more or less the confirmed starting inside forward as he is good at holding the ball and linking play

garnacho... iirc he had 3 chances but couldn't convert, really really need to work on his composure and finishing

good to see heaven make his debut, given man u injury curse, RA will give chances to the youngsters to impress

Looked through Real Sociedad and see their preferred style is 4-1-4-1, their DM is highly rated hard running Martín Zubimendi.

No idea if Dorgu is eligible to play for Man Utd, but should be able to play.
I am quite optimistic about this match as RA's style is more suited to European pace of play, unless Real Sociedad decides to do hard pressing and disrupt Man Utd.

But at this moment tho, it just seems RA is now where ETH was.
Doing something that does not work, but keep doing it anyway cause don't know what else to do.

I think that it is not RA does not want to change, but he has nothing to change into as 3-4-3 is all he knows.

We do not have anything else to look forward to this season, the team is performing so poorly now that ANY match win is a bonus.
We will not get relegated this season, but languish at the bottom half.

I just hope RA talks less from now onwards.
The more he speaks, the worse it gets.

Actually I did some checking myself and found out that Antonio Conte played a 343 at Chelsea winning the 2016/17 PL no less

Also Pochettino used a 343 quite successfully at Spurs taking them to Top 4 places and CL football quite regularly

So I guess 343 could work in the PL
