I have zapped you for starting a new thread on this subject when there are already loads of existing threads eg http://sbfjust.rocks/showthread.php?t=77040

Boss, I think you are too harsh on TS for this. The thread you quoted although is still relevant was started in October 2007 and the last posting was done in May 2010. You cannot really blame ts if he starts a new thread on this topic as this information is not on the sticky and not within the first 3 pages. In fact, given the prevalence of this medical condition (as compared to herpes and genital warts), I am surprised it was not on the sticky to start off with. Do put it in the Sticky - it would be of great help to bros in need in the future.

To help TS and other bros out there, here are some clarifications:
  1. Molluscum Contagiosum in NOT a veneral disease although it can be sexually transmitted.
  2. It is caused by a virus similar to that of the common Chicken Pox.
  3. Hence, anyone whose immunity is down can get Molluscum Contagiosum and it is prevalent among children too. For adults it tend to be infected around the groin region due to sexual contact (which use of condom also cannot prevent).
  4. As its cause is by virus (and not bacterial), there is no medication for it. It would go away once the pox dries up and the virus leaves the body on its own.
  5. Medical treatment is more on disinfecting the skin and containing the further spread of the virus to the surrounding area and prevent formation of clusters - doctors may recommend wash with Potassium Permangante solution and apply Fucidin cream (Fusidic acid) more as a prevention than cure (since there is none).
  6. Attempt to "burn-off" the pimples with wart-solution or liquid nitrogen is not recommended as it may cause un-sightly scars and secondary infection.
  7. Best is to leave the pimple to ripen by itself and during the shaving of the pubic hairs, allow them to be cut off naturally (do not force) when they are ripened. Yes, there will be some bleeding but they will heal nicely.

Other alternative treatments include washing the infected region with own urine (this was from a traditional Mongul source but medically it was noted that infection does not occur in babies in the areas where the nappy holds urine), drinking more coconut water, eating more sweet potatoes (Indonesian orange-colour variety) and anything that we did previously as a prevention against the SARS and Chicken Pox virus.

Moral of the story for bros who like to shave bald is that now we know why public hair is there in the first place. Shaving clean especially before a session with an Ang Pai FL will leave you expose to high chance of infection because of cuts in the skin around the groin and scrotrum area.

Hope the above helps.

Re: Molascum contagiosum

Just to add to the above list is that Australian Tea Tree Oil (Thursday Plantation brand) - available over the counter at any pharmacy - seems effective in drying up and reducing the pimple to a tiny dot. Use the Oil version rather than the cream type as it is more potent.
