This story took place 5 yrs ago. I just started work in this company. The company was started by a husband and wife team. The husband has since went on to open another branch in China leaving the local company in the hand of the wife, my lady boss Veronica.

Veronica is in her early 40s, though she looks to be in her early 30s. She is a South African white blonde of British descent, who met and married her husband while attending university in London. She is of athletic build with firm and nicely tonned muscle as she exercise regularly.

The first time I met her in the interview, her beauty caught my eyes, especially her boobs which I would guess at 34C. Her long shapely leg is another eye catcher, especially when she wore tight skirt, showing off her beautiful legs and her nice bum.

As time passed, we work well as a team. I also got to know her better and we actually share the same passion to roam around for good food.

It all stated with the casual sharing of where we would usually go for lunch and dinner (I was single then, in my late 20s). She then suggested that since she usually dine out alone as her husband is mostly based in China, and I also dine alone, so why not we dine together? It was a good idea to me and so from then on, we would usually go out for lunch and meet up for dinner after work.

I don't really mind her company as she is beautiful and I'm always nuts for a white blonde. As we get to know each other more, we realize that we share a few common hobbies (reading, trekking through natural reserves, watch movies) and we get to enjoy each other's company.

We would roam around searching for good food. On a Sunday morning, you would probably find us trekking at treetop walk, Bukit Timah, Pierce Reservoir or even Pulau Ubin. (Maybe some of u had seen us before). After a good trek, we would usually end up in one of the ice cream cafe. One of our favourite haunt was The Daily Scoop at Sunset way.

We continue to enjoy each other's company for half a year. Good colleagues at work, and a good friend after office hours. While we enjoy each other's companionship, we never crossed the line.

Six months after working at the company, the situation change. I still remembered that it was raining heavily on that morning. I receive a call from Veronica telling me that she is sick and will not be in today. She asked me to handle the contract meeting with a Thailand based company today. We had worked hard over the last few weeks to clinch this contract. I thought she sounded funny over the air. It sounded like she had been crying. I didn't give much thought then as the key thing on my mind was getting that contract signed.

The whole morning, my mind was on the contract. I went through the draft a few times with my company legal teams, making sure that everything is in order before the meeting at 2pm.

Finally, the contract was signed. This contract is very important to us as the profit margin is very high. At least, I can look forward to a good bonus at the end of the year.

Once the contract has been signed, my mind drift back to Veronica. Thinking back, her voice sounds very different from her usual self. Looking at the clock, it's almost 0430pm. I decided to call it a day and to go pay the boss lady a visit.

I decided to drop by lavender to buy pig's organ soup for her. It's one of her favourite stall (after I introduce it to her in one of our food hunt), so I decided to buy and cheer her up.

Reaching her condo near Ion orchard, I registered with the security guard, who then proceed to call her unit, informing her of the visitor, yours truly. I can hear her voice saying it's ok to let me in. I drove down to the basement carpark and waited for her at the lift lobby. She is staying in those estate where they need a security card key to access the lift to bring to their unit living room.

The lift door open and we step into a very posh Victorian design living room. Veronica pointed to the sofa and asked me if I would like a drink? I told her later and passes her the soup, telling her to drink while it's still hot. She sat down beside me and said she will have it later as she has no appetite.

I asked her what's wrong. My mistakes. She looks at me, tears starts to roll uncontrollably. She told me that for the last 2 months, she suspect her husband is seeing another woman. In order to curb her suspicion, she hired a PI. Last night, the PI has send back a reports and lots of pictures of her husband and a PRC girl. Taking the report, she send a mail to her husband confronting him for the truth. The husband has admitted. This morning, she has jus filed for divorce.

I tried to console her, telling her that her husband is a fool to go for a PRC and giving up a beautiful lady like her. 2nd mistake of the day!! Veronica looks at me through her teary eyes, and ask me does she still look beautiful. Not thinking with my clear mind and without hesitation, I told her that she is the most beautiful woman I known. She looks at me, whispering a thank you and saying that's very kind of me to say so to a old woman like her.
